I LOVE MY VULVA to projekt zainaugurowany w kwietniu, 2010 roku podczas pierwszej polskiej edycji „Dni Cipki”, których byłam inicjatorką. W specjalnie stworzonym studio fotograficznym wykonałam zdjęcia wulw ochotniczek, które przybyły do mnie z całej Polski. Po intymnej rozmowie i zrobieniu sesji, fotografię drukowałam od razu, dołączając ją do dużej instalacji ściennej. Odwiedziły mnie najróżniejsze kobiety od 17 do 70 roku życia, a ich historie były poruszające.
Inspiracją wizualną był dla mnie najsłynniejszy w historii sztuki kobiecy akt - „Pochodzenie świata”, Gustave’a Couberta. W ten sposób każdej fotografowanej cipce chciałam oddać hołd i nadać jej status dzieła sztuki. Wulwa to nie tylko źródło przyjemności i radości, ale także, a nawet przede wszystkim źródło życia, dlatego zasługuje na najwyższy szacunek. Celem projektu było zainicjowanie rozmowy, która zjednoczy, ośmieli i otworzy, przełamując granice wstydu i poczucia winy. Projekt nie ma kontekstu seksualnego. Jest afirmacją kobiecości i samoakceptacji.

I LOVE MY VULVA
happening and photo installation | 2010 - ongoing
I LOVE MY VULVA is a project launched in April 2010 during the first Polish edition of "Pussy Days", which I initiated. In a specially created photography studio, I took photos of the vulvas of volunteers who came to me from all over Poland. After an intimate conversation and a photo session, I printed the photograph immediately, adding it to a large wall installation. I was visited by a wide variety of women from 17 to 70 years old, and all their stories were touching.
My visual inspiration was the most famous female nude in the history of art - "The Origin of the World" by Gustave Coubert. In this way, I wanted to pay tribute to each photographed pussy and give it the status of a work of art. The vulva is not only a source of pleasure and joy, but also, and above all, a source of life, which is why it deserves the highest respect. The aim of the project was to initiate a conversation that would unite, encourage and open up, breaking the boundaries of shame and guilt. The project has no sexual context. It is an affirmation of femininity and self-acceptance.
