O MNIE

Skończyłam pięć bardzo różnych kierunków studiów, mam trzy ukochane profesje, których nie studiowałam i jeden zawód, który połączył wszystkie moje dotychczasowe doświadczenia i wiedzę. Jest nim terapia ekspresyjna, w której czerpię inspirację z wcześniejszych doświadczeń w obszarach sztuk plastycznych, pracy z ciałem, reżyserii, coachingu i psychologii. W projektach, które realizuję, bez względu na dziedzinę i medium, poruszam się zawsze na styku emocje - ciało - sztuka.

Od 2001 roku pracuję jako artystka multidyscyplinarna. Jestem dwukrotną stypendystką MKiDN. W swoich projektach zgłębiam zakamarki natury ludzkiej. Szczególnie inspiruje mnie psychoanaliza jungowska, eksplorująca zagadnienia takie jak: alchemia, proces indywiduacji, archetypy, analiza marzeń sennych czy nieświadomość zbiorowa. Moimi mediami są głównie fotografia, kolaż i wideo, ale też instalacja, rzeźba i neon. Często wybieraną przeze mnie formą ekspresji jest autoportret.

Pracuję również jako dziennikarka. Specjalizuję się w obszarze psychologii. Od 4 lat współpracuję z magazynem Newsweek Psychologia. Jestem też współautorką książki „Zbrodnia i Seks. Kim są i jak działają przestępcy seksualni”, Depko i Dellert, Wydawnictwo Agora, (2019).

Jestem także reżyserką dokumentalną, w tym współautorką docenionego przez krytyków i widzów w 89 krajach queerowego serialu dokumentalnego „Nago. Głośno. Dumnie.” HBO Max, (2023).

Dużą część dorosłego życia mieszkałam poza Polską, w Londynie, Barcelonie, Sztokholmie i Paryżu. To doświadczenie rozwinęło moją ciekawość ludzi i świata, i pozwoliło docenić bogactwo jakim jest różnorodność, Pomogło mi też dowiedzieć się kim jestem i poznać moc płynącą z bycia “sobą”. Może dlatego na życie patrzę jak na metaforę podróży. Jednak nie tej linearnej, z punktu A do punktu B, ale tej wgłąb siebie, w której na przestrzeni lat, balansując pomiędzy chęcią rozwoju, a potrzebą poczucia bezpieczeństwa, poznajemy swoje możliwości i ograniczenia, zmierzając powoli w stronę samoświadomości, integracji i pełni.

Moje życiowe i zawodowe doświadczenia utwierdziły mnie w przekonaniu, że wrażliwość jest źródłem wszelkiej kreatywności, rozwój jest procesem twórczym, a sztuka może być uzdrawiająca. Czerpię ogromną radość z realizacji projektów artystycznych, dziennikarskich i filmowych, ale w moim życiu nadszedł czas dzielenia się zdobytą wiedzą z innymi. Robię to na warsztatach, zajęciach i sesjach terapii ekspresyjnej, wspierając innych w ich najważniejszej życiowej podróży - tej do istoty siebie.

I finished five very different faculties, I have three jobs I love but that I have not studied and one profession that combined all my previous experience and knowledge. It is expressive therapy, in which I draw inspiration from the areas of visual arts, directing and psychology. In the projects I carry out, regardless of the field and medium, I always work at the crossroads of emotions, body and art.

Since 2001 I’ve been working as a multidisciplinary artist. In my works I explore the innermost areas of human nature. I am particularly fascinated by the jungian analysis (alchemy, mandala, individuation, archetypes, dream analysis or collective unconscious). My media are mainly photography, collage, video, installation, sculpture and neon. I often choose self-portraits as my form of expression.

I also work as a journalist specialising in psychology, working for the past 4 years for the Newsweek Psychology magazine. I am as well the co-author of the book "Crime and Sex. Who are sex offenders and how do they work”, Depko and Dellert, Agora Publishing House, (2019).

I work also as a documentary film maker. Recently, the the co-director of an appreciated by critics and audience in 89 countries documentary series "Naked. Loud. Proud." HBO Max, (2023).

I lived a large part of my adult life outside Poland. This experience developed my curiosity about people and the world and allowed me to appreciate the richness of diversity. It also helped me find out who I am and thought the power of being oneself. Maybe that's why I look at life as the metaphor for a journey. However, not the linear one, from point A to point B, but the one inside the self, in which over the years, balancing between the desire to develop and the need to feel safe, we get to know our abilities and limitations, slowly moving towards the wholeness.

Both private and professional experiences have confirmed my belief that sensitivity is the source of all creativity, development is a creative process, and art can be healing. I derive great joy from pursuing my artistic, journalistic and film projects, but I feel that it is time to share what I learned, with others.

I do this during expressive therapy workshops, classes and individual sessions, supporting others in their most important life journey - the one to the essence of self.

- W 2018 roku zostałam muzą kolekcji „Full Circle” celebrującej 10. rocznicę powstania marki Nenukko. Jej premiera odbyła się podczas Tygodnia Mody w Tokio | I was a Muse for the Nenukko’s “Full Circle” 10th anniversary collection, premiered at the Tokyo Fashion Week, Autumn 2018

- Byłam współzałożycielką pierwszego na świecie portalu społecznościowego dla kobiet, dedykowanego eksploracji i rozwojowi ich świadomej seksualności (Femmera.com, 2012-2014). Wspierały nas między innymi Betty Dodson i Cindy Gallop | I was a co-creator of Femmera - the first online social networking service for women focused on exploration and development of their sexuality (2012-2014). Among our supporters were Betty Dodson and Cindy Gallop

- W latach 2001-2009 współpracowałam w duecie ze szwedzkim artystą Thomasem Dellacroix tworząc serię autoportretów: “Self-portraits of others” | Between 2001-2009 I collaborated with the Swedish artist Thomas Dellacroix, creating a series: "Self-portraits of others".

- W duecie z Thomasem współtworzyłam zespół muzyczny „Dejavu”, w którym pod pseudonimami Bambi de Sade i Tommy Dollar śpiewaliśmy angielskie adaptacje piosenek Serge'a Gainsbourg’a | Together with Thomas, I co-founded "Dejavu", and as Bambi de Sade and Tommy Dollar, we sang English adaptations of Serge Gainsbourg's songs.

- W 2007 roku moje zdjęcia z projektu “Self-Portraits of Others” zostały scenografią awangardowej inscenizacji opery Don Giovanni w Folk Operan w Sztokholmie | Large format self-portraits of mine were used as stage sets for Don Giovanni, Folk Opera production, Stockholm.

- Jako dziecko trenowałam gimnastykę sportową, a jako nastolatka akrobatykę sportową (kadra Polski), | I was an elite gymnast performing for 9 years artistic gymnastics and acrobatic gymnastics.
